The Southern California Camellia Society meets each month October-April, excluding December. Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of the month. (3rd Thursday in November.)
THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME TO ALL MEETINGS
Location: Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Gardens, South of I-210 at 301 N. Baldwin Ave, Arcadia. Directions Time: 7:15 PM. Culture Session and Featured Speaker program. Refreshments and a Camellia Plant Raffle conclude each meeting.

Dan Charvet owner of Heartwood Nursery in Ft. Bragg, California will be our speaker this month. Dan has been a nurseryman for over 35 years and has introduced a number of new cultivars. He is an enthusiastic hybridizer and will share some of his experiences.

The SCCS is honored to have as our featured speaker camellia enthusiast, John Wang of Orinda, CA, who will discuss his many trips to China and his association with the Chinese Camellia Society. Mr. Wang will also present visuals of his method of Efficient Camellia Breeding and his newly introduced blooms.
